Unlike the Sloss Furnaces in Alabama which were heavily renovated, the Igloo City Hotel remains unfinished and never opened for business. Found in one of America's remotest states, it was also built in a part of the region where very few travel regardless. First built in the 1970's the Igloo City Hotel has traded owners throughout the years, none of whom have been capable (or financially able) to complete its construction, which was held up by code violations in prior decades
